Has anyone come up with anything for the bases? I'm not sure I'm going to base mine mostly cause I can't think of what to do, and what I do for my 40k stuff just seems like a cop out to do the same.

Unfortunately I ordered some of the SDF-1 surface resin bases with my add-ons. I had hoped to base my destroids on those, and maybe some battleoids or Zent pods. Of course those will ship in wave two so now I have a bunch of minis under construction without the bases I had wanted. I may see if I can magnetize some bases so I can swap in the future.

I plan to just use my bases as is. Ongoing to try and paint the minis prior to gluing them to the base.

Yeah, I ordered some of the SDF bases too. Just tryin to decide on a motif, but think in the end might just leave them black. Might paint the directional arrows a bit to make them stand out but that might be it.

I plan on doing a city scape kind of basing. I plan on mostly playing on a city board almost that of inside the SDF-1. But I am interested in seeing others bases as well.

I've done some as "space" bases, painting a sort of starfield design on them, a few "flying" with cloud details, some city bases using GW astrocrete and chunks of gale force 9 concrete, and some 'grassland' bases with Army Painter flock.

I'm going to have Fenris Games in the UK make me some custom clear acrylic bases, including flying bases. I want my stuff to be able to be used in space based games and on the ground (whether it's Earth or Mars).
