This thread for sharing finished models and/or models in progress. The idea is to provide a gallery of examples by members for inspiration and ideas. Please keep comments to a minimum or none at all. If you want to explain the picture, please feel free to do so. I'll start. Finished the box set of battlepods + 1 artillery pod! 8 are magnetized to accept various artillery modules. 6 have their hips turned a bit so to "dynamically" pose them.

Box set of zent models all built! The artillery options are magnetized and I have more stands coming before mounting the missile pods.

... and I have more stands coming... Did you find a way to make more? Have a friend that doesn't need some? Asked nicely for more?? I'm going to be magnetizing mine the same way and need to find a way to make more stands out of plasticard or cast them I suppose.

A few of my paint ups I don't consider any of these done the Gulag and Regult need decals and a little more shading, the Skull one needs shading.

Those look great. The Zents look very clean, almost exactly from what I've seen in the shows.
I used to have mad skills, but I seriously doubt that I could paint mine as well as these have been painted. And you've made me second guess using a different paint scheme from the original colors and patterns.

Working on magnetizing my destroid. The command module stem is just too thin to drill and hold a magnet. So create a new stem from the sprue. I added a small nub to help hold it in place. More pictures once this and the spotlight are all set.

Still plugging away. I'm trying for what I consider a high tabletop standard. I'm getting sick of pods though. I might set aside my Zentraedi and start on my destroids soon.

Those look great in my opinion, leon. Having a couple of squadrons ought to be good enough for awhile. Take a break from pods, if only for your sanity.

Caffran - those look really good!
Can you describe your painting method? Are you base coating, washing and then highlighting or something else?

I start with a spray coat of www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001N1HF4E/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1then I wash with Secret weapon Miniatures Soft Body Black (what my good painter friend calls "skill in a bottle") Then I lightly drybrish Vallejo Game Color grey that matches it exactly to cover wash splotches careful not to recover the lines that ar black now. then depending on RDF or Zents paint on the colors wanted in the rest of the areas and highlight broadly for that cartoony look.

Then for these I basically got the yellowish Army Painter spray can and used Secret Weapon Wash Dark Sepia. Pianted on details and a light amount of highlighting.

Nice job with flame-like effect on the fighter stand using the two main colors. Makes the stand blend in and look like part of the model.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to magnetize the rifleman arms so they can point up and won't get ripped of by normal handling. I also hope to magnetize the Zentraedi artillery. I would love more info on magnetizing with this scale of model. Thanks.

Hey InitiatedNeophyte, That is the finished piece and I've magnetized the missiles for regult pods. I made a quick tutorial on magnetizing regult pods and the same method can be used for all minis. I plan to magnetize some of the destroids, but you can check this out and let me know through messaging if you need any more information. robotechrpgtactics.boards.net/thread/83/battlepod-head-magnetization

I really like the clear stands you are using here! Cool idea! I want to get one for my extra Battleoid! Where did you get that?
