These are pretty easy to assemble and paint... but those teensy decals!

Those look great Leon.
Would you mind listing all of the colors you used (other than the already mentioned Sky Blue)?
What are you planning to do for the bases?

The white is just the primer. I think it's P3 Primer. It's all Minitaire colors: -Sky Blue -Coal -Blood red
That's it. The main thing to get them shaded right was to coat them in Future Finish Floor Polish. Let that dry and then do a wash with Future and Games Workshop Nuln Oil Wash in about a 5:1 ratio.
I'm not even going to think about basing until I finish my entire Kickstarter order. They're super glued to the bases so if I ever decide to I can snap them off and rebase.

Leon - those look great. If you're using Minitaire paints, are you airbrushing everything (except the black lines)? Was that a whole lot of masking for those pods?

I didn't airbrush at all. I just like the consistency of Minitaire paints out of the bottle for brush painting. The metallics are way too thin for brushing, but everything else is exactly the consistency I prefer.

Sorry. I was smoking crack. I used Nebula Red (I think) for lights and details and Angelic Blood for the Glaug body and missiles.

I was impressed before. But to learn you were smoking crack while painting these...WOW! You're amazing. Just a tip, should prolly lay off the crack, bro. I heard it's bad for you.

Well. I got em all done last night. Still need some decals, but I'll wrap those up at a more leisurely pace. Now to hit that sweet sweet crack.

I am actually leaving my bases bare for that reason (space battles) although I do intend to fill in the facing arrow with green and the 180 degree arrows with... red maybe? Perhaps yellow.

A simple way to do that is splatter some white paint on it for stars and what not for the space battles.

Looks great like you nailed the color! My pods are almost all assembled, so I will be dealing with the painting challenge shortly.
