Sorry for the thread necromancy, but I'm new here and I'd thought I'd share by background.
I started gaming when i was 12 with battletech 3rd ed boxed set(the one with the plastic unseen mechs, lol) in the early 90s. I played with friends for a few years, then moved into 28mm games like Warzone and 40K. I spent alot of time playing starship combat in the late 90s early 2000s. I helped write and play test A Sky Full of Ships for big, fast space combat(available on Wargamedownloads.com). around 2004 i moved big into 28mm historicals. WW2, Modern, Napoleonic, French and Indian war. I also got into micro armour and helped my friend Mike write 2 different sets of modern micro rules, neither of which were ever released.
I also was the president of a fairly large Miniature gaming club(MIGS) in Hamilton, Ontario(Canada) for a few years, and i was chairman of their con(MIGSCON) for 4 years.
I Have a blog, which is being neglected atm. I've spent the last 8 months doing major renovations to my house, as we plan to move out to western Canada(from Ontario) at the end of the summer.
All in all, I've been playing miniature games, painting figures, building terrain for 22 years.
