I know some of you have them in your grubby hands, how are they? Anything you saw that you really liked or disliked? So far how balanced does it look?

My gaming group is currently debating the LoS and targeting rule and whether or not we think it makes sense or should be FAQed.
We're also wondering if we'll even get a FAQ, and if we did would it come from Ninja Division or Palladium? The answer to that last question could mean a world of difference.

Max, can you explain the rule? I haven't seen them yet. What is it that makes you guys question if it makes sense?
I can only guess but I'm sure we'll get an FAQ at some point, I generally expect it with new game systems. It will most likely come from Palladium but I could be wrong. My impression was that ND was brought in to help get things off the ground and it doesn't appear as if they'll be long term active partners. Palladium doesn't have a whole lot of experience in the miniatures games realm and I imagine that's why they brought in a third party on this.

The part of the rules that I have been really excited for was the unique pilot upgrade rules. They are a decent start but I would love to see more options become available in time. Especially with mecha upgrades as well. Even if it was a source book, I would gladly pay for additional options to make my own characters with customized units.

I sent an errata to PB and they are reviewing it. There is also an alternate rules set for character creation and conversion in the Tactics Facebook Page files section.
