Hey all, I dusted off the sprues and hung out at the hobby shop recently and put together a bunch of blast based weapon destroids and pods.
How are you guys moving forward? Have you adjusted your army somehow or moved on to something else that is shiny?
I figure I should stop avoiding blast and start playing, then see if a further fix is in order. I think I will model up a couple gravity bomb Veritechs.
I am also trying to source-modify/make the missing models so I can move-on and not depend on PB. Any help in that regard would be appreciated since I would like to get the game in a somewhat complete state in under a year (sorry PB!).

I've significantly slowed down the amount of time I spend on this project, but haven't abandoned it entirely. I love it, so I don't want to give it up. But I have to also face the possibility that they won't deliver the remaining models.

I've been working on other 6mm projects (most recently, Third Generation/Invid War conversion for Tomorrow's War, but also WWIII and Gulf War stuff), so at least I'll have some good terrain and conventional units done when I get back into this. Probably sometime this spring I'll finally finish a Valkyrie squadron (and maybe do a second one), a Battlepod squadron (Attrition?) and an Artillery Pod squadron. My one Valk squad is about 85% done, as are the Battlepods. Right now, I only have two Defenders and two Tomahawks completely done.

I had to quickly get another 4'x4' table top made for a game tomorrow of SW:Armada with a friend so it took some time but I hope to get a quick picture in of everything that I have done so-far maybe tonight. I have 3 squads of Valkyries, a squad of each destroid type (4 per group), two full groups of pods and a missile pod group.

Still building units and started painting some units. Hopefully I'll find some other players and get my table and city all built up. Anxious for my games and gears board to arrive.

I play at least 3 times a month with my dedicated Robotech playing group. We are currently in the middle of a campaign in the South American quadrant and are using the maps and ideas from the Zentraedi Breakout book that PB put out years ago. Most of my stuff is built. I still have several things left to build. As for wave 2 stuff...I have 2 units of 3 Female PA and one unit of 3 Male PA exclusive models. I also bought 2 Super Valks to attach to a basic veritech squadron. I am looking into casting the pieces from that super valk and making more Super VTs. My Gnerls I had 3D printed. So for me, I pretty much have everything I need to run some diverse games. My friend has scratch built Lancers...so when we do space battles he has some unit diversity. The Ghosts we really don't give a shit about nor the zentraedi infantry...as the units are shit. I played like 10 games with infantry and the rules for them are terrible. In a game where maneuver is necessary...the fact that they can't run is stupid. So far I'm liking what Gnerls bring to the game for Zentraedi. They are a nice fast moving unit that provides an immediate threat and draws fire power away from the bulk of your pods.

Okay! This is where I am at now (see pic below). I have a few too many models at this time (Showdown pledge plus 2 more starter boxes and some 4-5 destroid boxes and few pod boxes here and there) still in their boxes so it could get a wee bit insane. I have my Dropship Commander City to fight in as well as some incidental terrain bits from my Battletech days. captkaruthors: So glad to hear there is a regular group getting games in, never mind a campaign. Let me know what tweaks to the rules or "agreements" you have come to for play. I am looking hard at those Gnerls, they look awesome but are a wee bit pricey... your plan for the Super Valks are mirroring my own. Good to hear, gives some motivation at my end.

Most of my stuff is assembled (a bunch of Zentraedi are still in the sprues), but my progress in painting the minis has come to a stand-still. Haven't played the game in a couple of months either.
My group and I have come to the conclusion that we want Wave 2 stuff in the mix (especially on the Zentraedi side!) to get the game going again.
