For all those interested:
28 days to go and they have gone thru four stretch goals.
I've wanted to get into Heavy Gear and this looks like a good way to get started.

I wish I had the cash to do so

Looks neat but I am up to my eyeballs in Warhammer 40K stuff to paint, and then some day I may get my Robotech stuff just to be sure I can't get my head above water.

I've got a moratorium on new models because I'm up to my eyeballs in unassembled/unpainted projects.

DANGIT! I've been trying to stay away from Kickstarter, I told myself there;s only one more gaming project I'd consider buying into kickstarter but never counted on DP9 kickstarting PLASTIC gears.

I went ahead and put it on two day reminder. If my finances are in better shape then I might make a pledge.

I'm resisting but I see myself caving in shortly lol. I've been a huge fan of HG for years but haven't had anyone to play it with in a while so I've mostly just been slowly collecting. I'm a big fan of plastic so I'd like to support this move but it is the holidays.

LOL! Yes the holidays, my wife says that I always do this around this time of year. Buy all the things I want and not leave anything for her to get me. Glad I hopped in on this one so far though. Seems to be run really well and they have slowly but steadily eaten thru stretch goals. I've been a fan of HG as well and only gotten a few books. The model prices kind of kept me away. I've been impressed with the communication and responses to backers from DP9. Plus the fact they have been in the mini business for years made me want to give them a chance.

I've always liked them as a company. I've also always felt that HG has been one of the best mecha based wargames. 1st and 2nd ed had a simulation feel, weighty rules but still fun. Overall it's got the mecha aesthetic but has a real world military feel to it. It's got a little of everything for all types of mecha gamers!

The price is very good but I'm already 52 and have so many miniatures to paint already that I'll be ready for a nursing home before I can get it all finished. So far I am resisting.

haha, I'm only 41 but I feel the same way. I'm actually cutting back a lot. GW is basically pricing me out of their hobby so I don't have to worry much about them anymore. The games I'm picking up on are mostly smaller scale which are typically easier to paint.

I pledged a buck, right now money is tight with xmas approaching, but if the backerkit opens in late Jan or February I'll have $115 CAD spare. If not, all I lost was a buck.
But like the rest of you, I'm 40 with two young boys and heavy career commitments. With a Reckless worth of minis heading my way in the next couple of months there's no chance these will see any use. I also feel I've thrown all my gaming dice in on Robotech, there's no way I'll ever commit to a KS and game like I have for RT.

I bought into the HG KS lol. I couldn't resist it being my favorite mecha game, finally in plastic! I figure I probably have atleast a year before they release that KS so I have plenty of time to get my Robotech stuff caught up. I'm trying to focus more on games I like playing these days with limited time, than on games I've started enjoying less and less.
