Breetai looks brilliant! The base is pretty spectacular too! I really wish i had picked one of these up at Gen Con.

Great paint job. I wonder, could someone field a bunch of less awesome painted (more uniform) Breetai's as the standard Zentradi solider?

I actually ordered him through the Kickstarter option that Palladium made available. It is a shame that you didn't pick one up while you were there, but if you are a Kickstarter backer, you can still order one from Palladium.

I think that you could make some standard heavy armor Zentradi using the Breetai model. It would take a bit of sculpting and kit bashing, and it would be a pretty expensive way to put a squad together, considering he goes for $20 or so a figure.

Thanks! I had no idea that Klan Klang was that much larger than the average Zentradi! As for a Breetai conversion, I am now curious to see if his figure will fall in line with that scale you provided, and if the infantry figures will be that much smaller. Yet another reason to want to see more information on Wave 2 figures.

Wow, yeah. Breetai is huge compared to the others. Well, maybe it would not only cost a fortune but it would also not really be in scale. Back to the drawing board.

Here are some more Breetai touch-ups. I can't help myself. I get an idea and then I have to try it. The metal was not looking very good in normal/low room light. I added several layers of metal using very watered down passes of varying intenisites. I also added some ink to some of the metal to give it purple and green reflections in places, especially around the electronic eye. His face was also way too purple, so I went ahead and re-painted it in a blue-er hue. While I was at it, I re-painted his eye to give him a more intense scowl.

Remember, When comparing Breetai to a standard Zent soldier.
(Just after Ricks VF-1J self destructed) Zent Soldier: "My Lord Breetai are you ok?" (Reaching to the Zentradi commander) Breetai (Shrugging off the assistance and getting to his feet) "Of course, I am not built as weakly as you." Zent Soldier: lowering head in embarrassment "Of course my lord."
