My one concern if they move to 15mm is what happens to all my 6mm figures. Will I have to buy a whole new set(s) so that my minis are all the same size?

That's my concern as well....

If they go 15mm there may be people suing them as the kickstarter was quite adamant that the whole game would be 6mm for ALL eras.

If they change the scale, they're shooting themselves in the foot. It will alienate a lot of people who backed the game believing that all future expansions will be 6mm as well. I am one of those people - I want 6mm Invid.

I wasn't part of the Kickstarter though I have 3 Wave 1s and a few main box sets. I want it all in 6mm. It's not just the figures. There would be the cost of all the terrain again and then the extra space to store it.

Yup, the extra storage space would be a real killer, too. I have a 1:100 Defender and Tomahawk here and compared to the 6mm ones they are positively huge!

See what I mean? For a bit of extra scale comparison there's a 15mm Flames of War soldier and a 6mm Epic 40k Assault Space Marine in there. So yeah, at 15mm you get a lot more detail and poses (heck, all the joints on the big guy can move!), but table and storage space suddenly become a premium. Let alone the fact that a single Destroid in 15mm might very well cost what you pay for a box of 4 Detroids in 6mm right now.

Luckily, the last updates says they are sticking with 6mm and the possibility of other game types in other scales. That's good to hear and it's nice that there is more communication.

I certainly don't mind them putting out additional minis in different scales. I might even pick up one or two for display. But 6mm is where the heart of the game is for me and it is good to hear that it is to remain there.

I agree Skull, Keep everything for the game 6mm. Maybe make the smaller pieces a little bigger 7-8mm for play-ability ease of locating.
But go with a 15mm for collectors and skirmish type games.
I would get a 15mm just to display what the 6mm figures look like to a new player, so they have an idea of what is on the table

I agree Sundowner. Make the Cykes a bit bigger, maybe even the Alphas. Personally, when I watched New Gen (alot), I noticed that the size of the Alpha fighters was inconsistent, but usually looked larger than the stated 28 feet anyway. The fact is, 6mm people are pieces of plastic shaving. There are many conceits for size that we allow for miniature games. Even the buildings we use aren't true scale. The battlefield of a game at Mach speeds, if the scale were true, would still be MILES wide. So, I prefer that the game remain 6mm. However, as long as the miniatures look "close" in scale, and look GOOD, I'm happy. 6mm Cyclones would be sucky miniatures. Tiny, tiny Invid Scouts? The same. Slightly out of scale but still appropriately sized miniatures with detail? THAT would be PERFECT.
