Hello,
Thought I would introduce myself, just got the core set and started assembling the mini's. I have to say I was expecting a harder time based on reviews I've read online. Overall I don't think assembling the battloids is as hard as I expected. They look great once put together. Only thing I find puzzling is the fact that the legs and arms are split in two. Kind of an odd setup, though I'm sure they had a good reason. Haven't tried the rules yet but from a quick read they look easy enough. I didn't even know about this game until last week, glad I missed the whole kickstarter mess...

Welcome Moffmalthus!
DrivethruRPG has some updated (improved) assembly instructions posted as free downloads.
www.drivethrurpg.com/browse.php?keywords=robotech&author=&artist=&pfrom=&pto=&x=0&y=0
Just search on "Robotech" and you'll find them.
These were not available when most of us assembled our kits. (Those Batteloid and Guardian arms caused quite a bit of frustration amongst the group, including me!)
I hope to see some pics of your assembled and painted models soon.

Thanks for the welcome Cappen. So far I have two veritechs assembled (in all three varieties) Hope to get a few more done today. I'm still not sure what paint scheme I will use for the veritechs, playing around with a few. I will try to post some pics once there all done.
