I like the thread that Jaymz created for alternatives to the Battle Foam Bag. Now that I've got a lot of Zentraedi Battle Pods and others which have lots of bits sticking out in all directions, has anyone identified a suitable foam tray which could be used? I personally like using KR Multicase trays inserted into GW Cases, but I haven't done any analysis yet on what might be suitable for the Zentraedi - Battle Pods and the Officer Battle Pods. Has anyone already done some investigation on this? Anyone have any advice? (Battle foam, KR Multicase, bacon foam - I'm all ears) (PS: a little like Jaymz, I went for something simple and stuck all of my Battle Pods to an ice-cream tub lid with Blue-Tac (I think in the US it's called Sticky-Tac) and just put it on the passenger seat of my car. It worked - nothing fell over - nothing broke).

Im using a deep compartment Plano tackle box. I have them 2 or 3 to a spot and they survived a 60 mile round trip with no damages.

Another alternative that a friend of mine showed me is that the battlefoam inserts fit into a legal pad sized cardboard box for file keeping. The kind you would buy at Staples for like $5 for 3 or something like that. They are really cost effective ways to store and transit models in the battlefoam inserts. (The handles aren't usable, however, without some work.)
