Hello all,
I had a themed idea for the Air Sup Squad and wanted to see what people thought and if the idea 'floats'. We currently play at 150pts, and only one Core Card required, with everyone slowly building and painting.
Widow Flight - 150pts
1x Quedluun Rau(FPA) - Pilot: Kyra the Widow (Azonia as template)
1x VF-1R - Pilot: Latest Suitor/Victim (Ben Dixon as template)
4x VF-1A
Cards: Air Sup Core, Azonia, Ben, 1R Upgrade, Support Card - VF-1A Flight
Main Idea: The 1R with Ben is mostly to help keep the FPA alive for as long as possible, keeping it within 3-3.5 Inches to use Ben's Selfless ability. Any kills, damage, etc Ben does is gravy. Most of the CPs would be used by the FPA for weapon systems, keeping her alive, etc.
Theme Idea: As we are mostly playing UEDF vs Malcontents, I figure this would suit the era. I figure Kyra gets 'what males want' and uses it constantly to good effect in her squadron. She lures in new suitors, sticks them in a slightly tougher than normal VF, and uses them as her shields. I plan on painting the FPA in really dark green, almost black, and putting the black widow hourglass on the back of the thruster pack.
Thoughts? Am I missing a rule that prevents this?
