Ways to expand playing, at least in house games and unofficially, without needing to buy more and more minis. Some of us cannot afford to after all. Mike has done a TON of work in this regard with his standees and counters. There is also the option of tracking down or using already owned old Battletech minis and card stock standees/counters. (I fall in this boat) Example here is a cardboard cut out 40mm base with a plastic stand glued to it for swappability and a "Warhammer" Battletech standee/counter. Any other ideas?

Anyone using the vintage Matchbox Diecast minis? I'm using all of mine, including the Mac-II! I am also using the vintage 1/200 Arri/Nichimau kits like the Cyclops Arena Scout! Any vintage kit builders out there???
