This is partially spurred on by the shock baton thread that was started, but we also ran into it last night in our game: The Recon Suite ability reads, "This effect lasts until the next time the Quel-Regult is activated." The Electronic Attack Suite reads that the effect lasts "...until the end of the turn." Question: If the Quel-Regult is destroyed, do one or both effects immediately go away, or will they persist? I'm thinking since there's no longer a 12/24 inch range from the pod to measure from, both effects would immediately end, even though the attack suite seems like it's a pulse and then stops when the turn is over (like the shock baton's effect wouldn't stop just because the unit that made the baton hit dies).

I would say the effect dies when the scout dies. That is how I play it. The scout is causing the interference. You could say that the sensors of units effected take a while to clear up once the scout is gone though and assume the effect lasts till the next activation.
I think that it is stupid to wait till the scout's squadron attacks to use the jamming ability. I would say allow it any time a unit in the same squadron as the scout is attacked and when the scout activates is the only time he can effect units that are attacking other friendly squadrons.

The recon pod effect goes from activation to activation on that squad. And yes I do believe that the effect dies with the pod.
