I made my Zentraedi units multi-colored... just because. I figure I might as well have some fun painting them and do something original with them. I will take more pictures and post them soon.

I really like the red w grey and blue w grey. The dark scheme looks menacing. Although the yellow with white has some charm too... it's hard to pick a favorite.

Makes it easier to tell what squad they belong to!

Makes it easier to tell what squad they belong to! Not in this case. It looks like everyone in the squad is different. Maybe each of them has a favorite Lynn Minmay song. :-)

Never thought about it that way before. I just painted them as I felt like it when I got to them. I have various amounts of white units with colored highlights (like the ones above), some grey units with colored highlights, then some red with black highlights. None of my units (Zentraedi or UEDF) have the decals applied. I find tiny decals annoying as hell. When I get The Monster, I will probably put decals on it for the "eyes". But, I did find some toy "googly-eyes" that I might put on it for humor sake.

I think the googly eyes would be a hoot.

I went out Geocaching at a local park the other day and brought all of my Zentraedi units along with me so I could take pictures of them with some "nature" backgrounds. This park has a few large, plastic rocks for kids to climb around on. Since the weather was cloudy and cold, I was able to have the playground to myself while I set up the miniatures an took pictures of them. Here are all of my Zentraedi "Skittle-Squad" units! First off... The Blue Units. You gotta have them! Then we have The Red/White Units. Then we have these goofballs. Didn't really make enough of one color unit for them. Meh... oh well. The Black Units: These are the first units I colored in. I thought I would make all of them grey with the highlight colors. After I made three of them, I decided to go to the basic white with the random highlight colors. This is the only "flying" Zentraedi unit I made. Team Grey: When I was getting near the completion of painting these things, I decided to spray paint a bunch red and then paint the highlight colors on them. I am quite pleased how these turned out since the red is real vibrant and makes them look more menacing! The unit in the bottom left got "blown" off the rock when a small breeze picked up. It fell barrel first onto the toy rock and popped the gun barrel off. I took pics with it anyways and fixed it when I got home. The Recovery Pods: The Command Glaug and Recon Units: The Artillery Units:

Love the white and grey recovery pod. Consider that colour scheme stolen

Love the white and grey recovery pod. Consider that colour scheme stolen Ummm... thief! I went with that scheme because it was easier to paint (one large solid color and some little minor things to color). I think it looks like an "arctic" unit. I gave some of my other UEDF units that scheme as well.
