Anyone care to weigh in on why the Monster has a DEF of 7? With PIL and GN both at 2 it's not like it is only assigned to the best of the best. Harder to hit than a VF-1S in any mode? I don't think so...

Thick armor. Even with a lot of MDC it gets higher Def to simulate how tough it is.

It has to live up to it's name. Plus it's slow so it's not going to be getting itself out of any sticky situations.
