As in I'm still doing so.
Now if I was just putting things together as stock then my build would be done and I'd be into the secondary painting phase. At this point I'm still modifying poses of legs and arms for about 10 figures. My plan was to have 2 dynamically posed units of each type with one of each type using cinematic effects to enhance the feel of the figure. It's arduous work, but paying off.
Just 10 minutes ago I completed a battloid with two legs bent at the knee, in sitting position, with a two handed grip on his GU-11. Once I get to the priming stage I'll start posting up pics to share.
Anyone else stalling in their build process yet?

Stalling may not be the word I would use for my progress. Meticulous obsessiveness may be more apropos in my case. And I'm just doing the vanilla builds (so far).

I have pods and 2 valks left... non-meticulous, non modded(except by accident)
Looking at priming this weekend.

only 2 guardians left of wave one.... for now... I have to be completely honest, I enjoyed building them.... listening to a book on tape(er cd...) with the family, and snipping and gluing...
I picked up another battlecry pledge someone 'dumped' so I have more good times to look forward to! and enough to actually field some of the other core squads...

I hear ya, Wumpus. I rediscovered podcasts and have been listening to WWII podcasts...which really makes me want to switch to my Flames of War minis, further delaying my RRT build.

I HAVE AN ANNOUNCEMENT!!!
I'm finally done putting the bits together. Not all the figures, just the legs and arms and torsoi and heads...the evil, evil heads. Soon I actually complete my UEDF figures. Man, it's going to be a rare 13 year old who wants to even bother with this game. I'll bet that 90% of the players are going to be 25 years +.

Haha! So true. The models are very nice but it takes some patience and skill to get the most mileage out of them. Congrats on finishing up the build!

I'm about halfway - when I finish what's on my desk, I'll have 5 valks (in all three modes), 3 more in Jet only, 4 Tomahawks, 2 Defenders, 2 Glaugs, 12 Regults, 4 Arty pods of various sorts, a recon, and a recovery. Plus 5 jeeps, 3 APCs and an AWACs plane from other minis lines meant to be conventional UEDF vehicles.
And then I think I'm gonna do something else for a while; getting burnt out on RRT figures.

I have just the destroids from the core set and 2 recovery pods to finish and all my models will be built. For now, I'm keeping my Miriya in Female power armor still in the blister.

Ive built 4 squadrons for 520 points each army. Run 4 shakedown battles and UEDF wins every time. Getting very frustrated with the amount of MDC the humans can absorb. Is this math fixed? Really wanting to love this game but it seems too rigged in UEDF's favor.

They can absorb a lot, but the Zentaedi can dish out a lot, as well as absorbing a lot in their own right. Every RDF loss is strongly felt, while the Zentraedi can remorselessly sacrifice pods left and right and the recycle them. So their numbers should remain fairly constant through the first part of the game as the micronian numbers dwindle.
The RDF play fairly normally. They're your standard human hero army. The Zentraedi require a little more finesse and thought. They have a longer learning curve, but I think you'll find them fairly balanced once you get the knack for them.

I have played 6 or 7 games now. Although my gang and I are not the most competitive players around, we have found that the Zentraedi, although lacking variety in their army, do have a strong advantage because of their ability to regenerate waves of battle pods. Once the UEDF run out of missiles, the Zentreadi numbers become very telling. In our battles so far, the Zents have won more than they have lost.

Can you believe I'm STILL not done? Got all the Zents reposed, built, and primed, half the UEDF are done since the fighter mode Valks are the epitome of easy. Getting the battloids in exciting poses and trying to get the guardians to look less 'cookie-cutter' has been a challenge.

Can believe it easily. Guardian poses are difficult. It's not a very variable mode - for a variable mode aircraft... My main goal was to try to match poses for individuals if possible, so Battloid pointing matches Guardian pointing, and so on. Other than that, I really just want to get them done and on the table.
