Are you planning to do anything decorative or so kind of theme with the basing? I haven't thought that far ahead yet!

I'd rather leave them black. Any theme will just look weird to me during space battles.

Good point! I'm not sure how I'm going to deal with the multiple combat zones problem just yet. Clear bases is one way to go.... or magnetizing the models to swap between different bases (yuck!)

No two-hands on the GU11 poses? Wuss. hehe. Congrats! Painting .. 70 models .. ugh. I've done mine as I assemble thankfully. I'm almost there myself. 1 Battloid, 2 Guardians, 1 scout and 1 Glaug to go to finish my first box set + bonus bag. Still havn't decided if I want to rip the plastic off my 2nd box set yet. I'm leaving my bases and any swoosh flight stands black. In my experience, except for special characters in 40K, plain black looks best as it blends in with any terrain (kind of "disappears" if you will). Of course, clear would be awesome but I'm not willing to spend more for that.
