Looking good! Were the Vertiechs less fiddly than the Tomahawk? I haven't got into mine yet; maybe I will Friday afternoon.

looking good! Despite what others says I am seeing some very nice models, and your mods make them even more so.

Some nice green stuff work there. What clear stands did you use for the fighters?

With the exception of the missile pods I found the Veritechs to be easier to build than the Destroids, simply because the pieces are bigger
I am using GW flight stands, I just drill a hole in the base and model to fit the vertical stand.

Well make sure the GW flight stands are same height as the PB ones, since there seems to be debate awhile back about if the size difference (if any) would add advantage. also some of your poses are just wrong man, just wrong.

Any LOS advantage gained by having the models slightly higher is completely balanced with the fact that I will be at a disadvantage when it comes to being able to get cover, and it will be easier to get LOS on the fighters. With regards to the rules I did double check to make sure there wasn't anything against using the different stands. Since Range is measured from center of the torso I made sure to place my models centered over the base, and didn't change the base from the stock ones that came with the models. Anyhow that is my thought, if it becomes an issue later I will just change the base, not going to glue the model to the stand.

LOS is from center of torso. Base to base is for range measurements.

Ya know, as many pieces as these are, they *are* pretty versatile.
The arm/shoulder mounts can be in any number of locations, the leg/hip mounts too. The arms themselves are 2-3 pieces each, so obviously those can be manipulated. Fighters not so much, I was hoping for some swept back wings.
But they are pretty darned versatile figures. If you take your time, you can do a great job with these. However, TAKE YOUR TIME, at least on the first few until you get used to it.

When I get my models one of my first goals is figuring out how to reposition the wings on the VF-1s I also want one battloid with open wings... If I sort these ideas I will certainly share.

Unfortunately, you're not going to get a Battroid with open wings without serious conversion work. You'd need to cut the wings off the back plate / piece, then probably attach a spare fighter or guardian set after modifiying them to fit. (And probably a good bit of Green Stuff work, too.)
I think the wings on fighter mode might be tweakable with some angling / trimming - still work there, too, but not quite as bad.

Thanks for the tutorial, I worked some of the models as you described and they look great! I found that green putty was a bit easier to work into place than liquid for the larger gaps.
