So here is what I am going to start this thread out with, a couple of Thomahawks! I will eventually have 2 units that is why the different colors. Also, this is really not representative of my top work, this is just something quick and dirty to get things painted. Mostly I wanted to work out my colors and methods before I paint them all. Next up will be some test veritechs, followed by some test pods, then I will finish assembling everything and start the painting slog...Anyway, enjoy the pics!

Damn fine work. Mind breaking down the paints used and techniques? I know you do this professionally and so may not want to share any trade secrets, as it were. So feel free to ignore me if you want.

Damn fine work. Mind breaking down the paints used and techniques? I know you do this professionally and so may not want to share any trade secrets, as it were. So feel free to ignore me if you want. I dont have a problem sharing, personal I think those that do have a problem sharing are the ones with the problem I replicated the colors shown in the Robotech rule book. The brown was a 50/50 mix of Vallejo Golden Brown and p3 Gun Corps Brown. Then the mini was washed in a dilute mix of Army Painter Strong Tone Ink. After that the missile shoulder covers were painted in Gun Corps Brown, shaded in p3 Umbral Umber and highlighted with Rucksack Tan. Decals were applied, allowed to dray then the model was airbrushed with Vallejo Flat Varnish. The grey/green was a little more troublesome to achieve. I used a 4:2:1 mixture of Vallejo Deck Tan, German Green and Blue Grey. To highlight it I added p3 Morrow White and to shade I added p3 Cryx Bane Base. The missile covers were done with p3 Gun Corps mixed with Vallejo Deck Tan. That is about it. A.

Thanks! Those turned out great. They have a real military look and feel to them. I am planning on having two area denial squads. The first will be painted like these above, classic Robotech. The second will be a little more unique, still in the planning stages of what exactly that will look like. I have gotten some more painting done. I started Vermillion Squadron and with the abundance of battlepods being done in the classic scheme I opted for a slight shift in color. I will have 2 squads of pods, one in this scheme and the other in the classic blue white. Anyway, enjoy the pics!

Nicely done! I love the unique zentraedi color scheme. I might borrow that for a pod squad or two. I still like the classic colors best though.
