I've been watching to see what terrain people are using...I'm using old Space Marine/Epic Scale 6mm buildings/ruins as well as some other terrain from the massive collection I have assembled in 25ish years of wargaming, but I see a bunch of people using the Dropzone Commander buildings.
Just curious what other people are using.

Well so far DZC buildings and a bunch of stuff from links in a separate thread (essentially other versions of cardstock stuff). Some REALLY nice stuff too like a Battletech Leopard Class Dropship and Bunkers, Huts, Houses, Comm Towers, so on and so forth.
I have no where near the financial position to do anything beyond that sadly so Cardstock and custom stuff built from whatever I can find on hand. Add to that I'll be expanding my hose games using cardstock representations of the minis for battles larger than I have minis for (I've made home made bases and such for that purpose too) and that is where I am at in this regard.

I'm assembling a mess of rescaled 6mm DZC stuff that I plan to pimp out with foamcore ruin bases. I plan to slide the cardstock buildings over the ruins so when they get popped i can just lull the building and leave the base.
Kind of wishing I;d just gone with full on DZC though, the up-sized buildings just LOOK cooler and more impressive...plus it;s a lot less labor intensive.
Lately I;ve been wondering about Z-scale model train scenery...but they tend to be all pastoral/small town bucolic crap, not really any urban terrain.

I put in an order with gcmini.com for Allen's six pack of buildings, the ultra-modern single tower plus a resin school building. I plan to get his downtown flats and some of the mixed packs of ruined/non-ruined city buildings. I feel like if I can mix that up with the Sarna stuff, I'll be in fantastic shape.

Are the buildings from Monsterpocalypse too small? Dont have any of them left to reference after EBaying my old collection.

I like the buildings from sarna and hope to build my own from foam core and styrene sheets. Been starting on some random pieces before I get to the buildings.

My problem is the rules for buildings make them so pointlessly flimsy. All this beautiful LOS blocking scenery and any mecha can one-shot any terrain piece

That's a good point, Galahad. For every building, I will need to have something represent it as rubble after it has been one-shotted. *ha-rumph*

I used to play the Clix version of Mechwarrior so I have a TON of 1/200 terrain( Sarna printables, WorldWorks printables, Greenmax plastic kits, Laser cut wood kits), couple that with literally hundreds of foam terrain pieces as well and I think I have enough. At least the wife says I have enough.

At least the wife says I have enough. Yeah, they always do. Just remember these six words, "How many shoes do you need?"

That won't work on my wife. She has work shoes, non work shoes, dress shoes and winter boots. That's it.

those with DZC, do you find the 'tiles' sliding around and shifting? I almost picked up the cityscape as getting time to build and paint the models is hard enough, let alone play.
@ Harlock, how are those buildings you ordered from gcmini?

The tiles stayed put pretty well on top of my felt table top. I had a harder time with knocking the buildings around with my flailing arms when moving miniatures around during my games.
