Here's my start of building a mech bay. I was inspired and slightly jealous seeing a mech bay by burn in designs. I've created a bay that I like and now I need to build more bays and figure out what the building housing these bays looks like.

Thanks. It's coming along slowly, but I've built two more bays and am working on the flooring at the moment. Hope to get the back wall finished soon as well. I'll post some pics in a couple days.

Finished the floor, glued the structure and small wall to the back. Added the mesh and will start working on the back wall and other various bits.

Looking Very nice. You should do a tutorial when you finish it up. It's very worthy of replication!

Thanks. I'm not sure about about a tutorial, most of this is being made up on the spot. But I can take pictures and measurements if needed!

Outstanding. Very nice work. I would swap out the sprue bits or kit them out some more so they don't look like sprue bits. That girder on the top is asking for one of these cranes. www.cranesforsale.org/light-gantry-crane.jpg

Sounds like a plan.
You could make small wheels from plastic rod or even slices of the round bits from the sprues, and frames from plastic strips. You can get tiny chain from hobby shops that sell parts for building model ships.
... Or the internet.
You could hang a spare veritech arm from it.

I saw this and entertained the idea of buying it until I saw the scale is way too big.

Man, I wish I had seen that before this build! That's an awesome bay, though it's just part of an interior. Perhaps if I decide to build another, I'll have to use some of the elements from this.

Thanks! It measures about 8 x 4 for the base and 2 1/4 for the wall height.

Thanks, I've stalled out a bit on this. I've still got it and with the arrival of my Games and Gear boards, I want to get as many of my buildings ready. I hope to get to painting this and other buildings up soon. I'll definitely update when I have something to show. Thanks!
