I have created a group on Facebook to reach the mass audience of the Robotech RPG Tactics and those that bought into it, or contributed to the kickstarter event. www.facebook.com/groups/1519843971599044/This group is dedicated to finding a solution to the Robotech RPG Tactics problems that COUNTLESS people have been reporting and debating on the forums, kickstarter, and among friends. Our goal is to fix the errors in the rulebooks, and the cards, as well as discuss any other related problems that have come up during the year long wait and eventual release of the game itself.

Not sure how I feel about someone basically coming in to announce they'd like to take users away from this forum. The group is also set to exclusive so the casual browser has to have an FB account, thus insulating the user base even more. Are you going to be cross-posting topics to this board as well?

Nobody is being taken away. Just trying to look for solutions to the MANY complaints and issues that have been posted on various forums. Due to the nature of the problems, Facebook was the prudent means of contacting the Masses. Since so many have been affected by defective parts, or the rules themselves, or problems with the manufacturing or customer services, I thought it would be best to address them, and get something done. Bring all the complaints to a head, and get Palladium or someone from Ninja Division to actually take notice and make reparations to all those affected, and have everything sorted for the next generation of gamers/customers. Not to mention, all those that STILL have not received their orders.

I think Jaymz made this forum specifically to avoid the venom and negativism you're proposing to host. That is an assumption on my part however, and I am certain we all know what happens when one assumes!

It is not an attack of negativity. It is more about a resolution. Because EVERYONE I have talked to about this game who bought a copy, reviewed it, playtested it, or is still waiting for their copy is finding problems with it, and my goal is to make this game Work.
If we cannot play it, then we just spent a year waiting, and bought expensive model kits to paint and put on display, rather than use and enjoy in the way we were all wanting to play.

Because EVERYONE I have talked to about this game who bought a copy, reviewed it, playtested it, or is still waiting for their copy is finding problems with it, and my goal is to make this game Work. First of all, welcome to the Internet. All kidding aside, I believe you'll find happy customers don't find a need to take complaints to any outlet because they have none or they are so insignificant as to matter to their enjoyment of the game. Also I am a firm believer that there is no game in existence that is perfect, so finding problems is a fairly easy labor. Put that together and you have what is usually a very large and terribly vocal minority nerd raging on the Internet about every game from every licensed property there is available. Finally, I sincerely doubt anyone who bought into this game does not want it to work. We've all invested in it; not just money, but time as well. The game does work. Sure, it needs some tweaks, but that is being addressed if one takes Palladium at face value. I don't feel like a consolidated location for that very vocal minority is really needed, but more power to you for trying. This is, of course, only one man's opinion.

Robotech Tactics International "unofficial" group seems to be doing fine on fb. This forum is also pretty good for having discussion related to the game.

Also, maybe it's because I've been wargaming for a long time now but I have yet to see a game get it 'right', especially right off the bat. It's mostly subjective as to what's right, technical bugs always get worked out over time. Robotech doesn't seem to own a monopoly on this by any means.

Well said Grabula. I too have been a long time wargamer and Tactics is not nearly as bad as people on the 'net have been grumbling about. Is it as polished as I wish it was? No, but it is far from unplayable and the company IS putting models out. There have been several games I got into and then back out of because of various reasons, crappy models, horrible company, bad rules. Tactics is a middle of the road game that I hope gets better with age.

I wonder if it's possible rrt has just brought in more people that don't game as much? The amount of glue related threads leads me to that belief lol.
What gets me is I've always played in groups that never have an issue house ruling when we felt it was necessary. Gamers these days are so focused on competitive play it's sort of taken away from the idea of making it your own.

Ok, well, I have no issue with people wanting to link to a facebook group if they wish too for whatever reason.
I do think that this may be the better more "central" place to perhaps have such discussions as everyone can easily see the topics and comments/threads as opposed to the way you must scroll through facebook feeds and such. That's just me though.
I'll gladly join and add what i can when I can.
Also yes The International "Unofficial" group is an excellent place for these discussion as well even if it is a closed group.
