So I wasn't particularly happy with my initial color scheme for my defender so I stripped it in order to repaint. Unfortunately while doing so the radar piece came loose and fell down the sink forever lost. While I've got eight defenders I will eventually need the radar for one of them. Looking at it though, it seems such flat simple piece that I've been thinking of some ideas for a quick replacement. One thought was just sculpting it out of green stuff, but if anyone else has some other ideas I'd love to hear them.

I did and in fact there was a small metal piece that probably came from one of my house mate's models, but it appears the radar was too light to get trapped in there. Thanks for the suggestion though.

You could use any sort of hard plastic from around the house. CD covers or old credit cards could work as well.

You could always use the command module, in place of the radar. and say it is a new AESA Reciver.

I would go with Papatachi's suggestion rather than try to sculpt it from green stuff. Just cut out a rectangle from a scrap bit of plastic and sand it down. I have a lot of plastruct and evergreen strips of various sizes that would work, but you probably could find something in the recycle bin that would work just as well.

Maybe mod one with a paperclip post and some type of circular radome and say its the commander upgrade?

When in doubt, make it loook on purpose! Battle sdamge, baby! drill some bullet holes leading up to it, have some wires sticking out, paint it up all scorched, say he took a bad hit.

Bastinado, of you still need this let me know. I can scratch build it (been scratch building for over a decade) and send it to you. Wouldn't take me more than about 15 to 20 minutes to whip up.
