Ok, I can't be the only one experiencing this. I've been building the models left and right so I can get a game in, and I went to put them in the battle foam bag today... And barely any of them fit.
Does anyone have any suggestions for the layout of what goes where? The recovery pods just plain do not fit. Anywhere. The regult battlepods are too tall, and don't fit on their sides because of the antennas... Any Valkyries mounted in the jumping pose are the same deal...
I also don't believe all of Battlecry will fit in it like Palladium promised either...
and last but not least - Is anyone else's embroidered Robotech logo on the front flap askew?
Ideas? Opinions?

My experience mirrors your own. I have completed construction (but not painting) of one Battle Cry's worth of Zents. I've managed to put it all in one bag, except for the recovery pods that are too large for any compartment. I have to hope the majority of the UEDF stuff will be smaller, otherwise it's not going to all fit. I've got my regults standing in the cells but they are so tall I really worry about damage to their anti-air lasers and upper guns.

Thanks Harlock. I'll give their scheme a try. One lesson I've learned is to not make too many leaping Regults. They are taller and take up more space. When I start on my second Battle Cry I'll either do less jumpers or make the leaping base detachable.

Thanks Harlock. I'm not happy about having models stick up above the foam though. You can't store the game pieces in the bag or they will bend or break over time. I've had this happen with other miniatures, so stacking a tray on top with "light pressure" as they suggested is a bad idea. Otherwise, you leave out a tray for storage... Which goes against buying the whole custom case.
Edsel- yes, no more leaping pieces for me either. I'd rather have the pieces fit and be protected once I take all the time and effort to build, fix, and paint the pieces.

I managed to get a showdown amount of battle pods in, glaugs, recons, and artillery in my battlefoam along with 2 squadrons of veritechs, 1 spartan squad, 1 tomahawk squad and 1 defender squad. I did 2 "leaping" veritechs but besides that everyone is on the ground. I have some pods doubled and tripled up but they fit as normal in battlefoam. Some do stick up a bit but I think it fits fine. I did order a 1520 from battlefoam and the showdown will barely fit in that.
From using battlefoam before the #1 rule is to make your models small and have minimal protrusions on the models to stick into the foam.
