So I picked up my first box of Zentraedi yesterday and my cards were already a bit warped owing to the thin card stock used. I had considered using card sleeves, but I think I'd like to laminate them instead. I have an Office Max in town and I know they do laminating service, but is it safe? How about those sheets of sticky laminating film one can buy and DIY? How safe would those be to use? I ask because the surface of the cards looks to be a bit textured or bumpy. If I try and laminate them am I going to be left with lots of unsightly little air pockets trapped under the laminate?

Well....If you have a steady hand I don't think you'd get airpockets a plenty.
However I plant to either scan all mine in and reprint them myself in order to not use the originals at all, make my own, or use the ones mike1975 did. I'll be self laminating those regardless or using the plastic slide sleeves you can put into binders.
I WON'T be using them as is either way.

Too many models, not enough time.

I intend to use the cards that mike1975 did. One of the gamers in our local group has a laminator so all I need to do is print them on cardstock and provide laminating supplies.

Palladium had run some of the cards through a hot laminator at GenCon. No idea if they were production or pre-production cards though.
If you plan on using a hot laminator I would suggest trying out one card that you have multiples of first. If that works, and I dont see why it wouldn't, run the rest.

Hey, remember when we met a stretch goal and Palladium made a big deal about "upgrading" all the cards to "laminate"?
They just seem like normal glossy cardstock to me. I can't imagine how they expected them to even be usable without the 'upgrade'
I plan to just make up some basic text based sheets I can print up and tick off with a pencil, just like battletech. Forget messing with frelling cards.

What you can do though is slide them into plastic sleeves. I do that with Battletech all eh time. Saves having to print them off every time I want one. I plan to scan the original RRT ones in, IF I use them at all (and not use Mikes or one of my own design), so I dont have to use the originals.

I'll probably just hand-write it on a piece of paper (just like I do with Battletech sometimes). Valkyrie #1 - 14 MDC, 3 missile volleys. Just make little marks when I take damage.
