Ok did the other two pods on the sprue. Took my time and had a few super glue snafus ...meh the stuff cones off eventually....and poked at other things while working on them. 90 minutes In the foreground a battletech atlas.

I like that running pose. I ended up using the in air stand for the pair of legs that leave the front toe further up than the back, but it looks like you divided them up if I'm seeing it right.

I dont want flying pods. In fact I wish i could just stand them in a static pose. I am no modeller nor do i care for poseability.

I like the variety of the different running poses. I mixed the legs so I didn't have to use a swoosh stand and it gives them a pretty decent feel.

Did another sprue of pods. Took a little over an hour. Clipped cleaned glued legs and feet Clipped cleaned glued body parts. Attached legs. Attached guns. Based. Don't think it'll get much faster. I am a relative novice at this and am not looking forward to the recon pod, destroids, and vf-1 guardians and battloids. Add in painting time..... I am afraid to say that all if this could very well turn off a number of people from getting into re game.

It definitely has a lot of tiny bits which will require a lot of patience. Destroids are pretty easy and so far, guardians are okay. I'm working on the arms at the moment and hopefully will be done building the box set by this weekend. You are doing pretty well for your building time, so don't get discouraged!

I'm not discouraged. It's the going forward success if this game I'm worried about.

Guardian took the longest for me. Tried setting up their two arm grip a couple of times, but gave up after several tries. Also while you can't swap upper arms as easily between the guardian and battloid, I did swipe the pointing finger from the latter's sprue to give a few more variations for the former.

As a long time assembler of models (25+ years, but mostly GW stuff) I would have to agree with some of the other posters by stating that the modeling aspect of this game is not for novices. I also worry about the long term viability of this game if the modeling aspect continues to be such a huge barrier to new players.
If they can't build the models and get frustrated, they won't play.

I am afraid to say that all if this could very well turn off a number of people from getting into re game. I sincerely hope there is a secondary market for folks who are not inclined to model and paint. Who knows, maybe a few of us will try and move some painted minis here on the forum?
