Turn 7
Command pool refill UEDF = 3 CP (1 Mecha, +2 for leadership of VF-1J) Zents = 0 CP (No CP generating Mecha on the table)
Roll off for initiative: UEDF – 8, Zents – 8. The UEDF have the initiative (as they have the model with the highest leadership on the table) and decide to activate 1st
The UEDF Valkyrie Squad activates -Max Sterling, Fighter Ace and Hero of the UEDF decides that this is a battle he cannot win. Swearing to return one day to avenge his fallen friends, he changes into fighter mode, turns 90 degrees to the left and pushes down the throttle to move 12 inches off the board to safety. It does not cost him a CP to disengage from combat as he is now in fighter mode.
“Rick? Where are you Rick? I need your help…”
With no UEDF forces left on the board, Turn 7 ends the game with the Zentraedi in complete control of the downtown sector of Macross City.
VICTORY ZENTRAEDI!

Well, that's it!
A nice little 150pt battle that lasted 7 turns. I'll be honest and say that, up until the beginning of the 5th turn, I really thought that the UEDF was going to win the battle. But, alas, it was not to be for the heroes of earth.
I hope you all enjoyed this battle report. I have to admit that it was a little bit of work on my part but I hope that the end results was worth it for all you folks out there. I also hope that it helped some on you go through the mechanics of the game and that it will make it a little less intimidating for some of you to tackle the rules and try out a game or two.
A big thanks to all of you who commented on my report, provided advice and suggestions and also posted "likes" to my report. Your responses kept me motivated throughout the long write-up process.
Thanks and good gaming!

Awesome battle report. I like your decision to have Max choose to fight another day rather than go down fighting.
Thanks for doing that. I know it was a lot of work. With everyone scrambling to get up to speed with a new ruleset, it's really great to see a game played out in detail. And the color commentary was icing on the cake.

Awesome battle report. I like your decision to have Max choose to fight another day rather than go down fighting. Yeah, it's a running gag with me and my gaming group. Every time I'm about to loose a game of X-Wing, I fly my last ship off the board and quote Monty Python's Holy Grail.
"Run away, run away!!!!!!"
